I was watching a movie this week and towards the end of it there was a grave side scene :-( Here the minister was talking about the deceased person and then pointed out that the headstone had 2 dates on it. The first being the birth date, the second being the date that the person died and in between is a DASH. The minister continued on saying that the dates aren't so important but what we do with the DASH (the time between the 2 dates) is what counts. In my case after I got told about my cancer everything seemed to focus on that and the rest of life seemed to take a back seat. Well that has ended. Yes I still have to deal daily the the fact that I have cancer and that I don't know what the future holds for me but I can't let it consume everything, I still have a life to live, a loving family to enjoy, a community mens shed to go to and so much. So I'm gong to make the most of my DASH ........... what about you.
